Since 2017 Ben O’Brien (aka Ben the Illustrator) has been putting together an annual industry-wide survey for anyone working professionally as an illustrator. This is the only survey put together by illustrators and for illustrators and in just 2 years it has gained great reactions and positive notoriety in the illustration world, sparking discussions and having real-world results in how illustrators manage their own practice and how industry bodies focus their efforts on dealing with issues throughout the world of illustration.
